WW2 US M3 Lee

The United States M3 Lee which of which 6,258 were built by five different manufacturing companies during WW2. This was the first olive drab tank I’ve done and required a slightly different approach when it came to weathering.

WW2 British Matilda

The British Matilda tank which is depicted here serving in North Africa. The Tamiya kit was created using acrylics and only two mediums for weathering - VMS Black Steel pigment and Tamiya panel liner.

WW1 British Mk.I Tank

The Mark.I was the first tank actually used in combat. Developed in 1915 this “male” version had two 6 pounder guns for its armament along with 3 Hotchkiss machines guns. This is a Takom kit in 1/35 scale.

WW2 German Panzerkampfwagen E-100

This depicts a “what if” scenario had the E-100 reached production. It’s depicted in the spring of ‘46, its haphazard whitewashed winter camo fading away. One hull was completed by the time the allies took control of Germany. Plans had it with a crew of six and weighing in at 123 tons and standing just over 11 feet tall. The kit is produced by Amusing Hobby in 1/35 scale and was done with acrylics, VMS and AK pigments along with oils. The wire for the hull camouflage sets were hyper aged for a rust finish.

WW2 German Löwe

A “Paper Panzer” hence it existed only on paper though some sources say a hull was found in the closing days of WW2 for it. The Panzerkampfwagen VII Löwe (Lion in English) was designed to have the L/70 high velocity gun and a 1,000 horsepower Maybach engine.

French Char 2c

Largest tank by volume ever to reach production. Had a crew of 12 but was too late to see action in WWI. By the beginning of WW2 it was hopelessly outclassed. Number 92 Picardie broke down due to a mechanical and was captured by the Germans. It’s fate is unknown but presumably scrapped. This is the 1/35 scale Meng kit with tailskid kit added.

Le Hussard

Plank on frame wooden ship model of the 1848 Le Hussard by Artesania Latina. First wooden kit I ever made back in the ‘80’s. Somehow it survived four major cross state moves in one piece.

Dinghy Boat

Midwest wooden boat model of the dinghy. Scratch made rods and reels with fishing tackle box.
