WW1 Winona Skeleton Tank

1918 prototype tank produced nicknamed the Skeleton Tank designed to be easily taken apart for transportation in 1/35 scale by Vargas. It was built by Pioneer Tractor Company in Winona, MN. Only one made which still survives today. Resin cast model.

WW2 Stuka Model

WW2 Stuka in 1/48 scale by Revell. The kit itself is an old tooling from 1968 and yet over 40 years later is still being injection molded and cranked out for sale! It was a very cheap buy at Hobby Lobby (I think I paid something like $7 for it) and was my first plastic build in over 40 some years so yes, this was my Guinea pig for testing and learning vastly new techniques and modeling supplies. The flip side to starting with an older tooling kit like this you spend way too much time trying to overcoming the kits inherent shortcomings (like dealing with raised panel lines) that it becomes an excessive testing of one’s perseverance and patience! This way my first foray into using the salt chipping technique which was used for the prop.
