WW2 Sd.KFZ.232 Eight Wheel Drive Armored Car Desert Brown

Tamiya’s Sd.Kfz.232 in original “desert brown”. The 232’s shipped to North Africa were in their brown paint before being repainted in their desert yellow but quite a few were never repainted in the field as depicted here. Being a Tamiya kit there were no surprises and was a fun build. I added desert dust pigment to complete the weathering along with some paint chipping in areas. The large antenna array is done in its original German grey.

Tamiya 1/12 F1 McLaren MP4/6

The McLaren Formula One car with a Honda V12 power plant in 1/12 scale. Tamiya paints used throughout. Except for some engine details with electrical wiring everything was stock out of the box. I left the main body part off due to the fact upon placement and removal it’s tends to scrape the finish off of the struts despite them being primered. Plus it covers up 90% of the eye candy when installed.

WW2 German Night Fighting Panther Ausf.F SD.KFZ.171

This particular Panther Ausf.F SD.KFZ.171 never saw combat and was discovered by the Allies as it was being used for night fighting trials, complete with infrared night vision, solid off-black camouflage and subdued insignia after the close of WWII.

Rust and accumulated dust and rain watermarks predominates the tank itself after sitting outside unused for an undetermined amount of time.  It was taken by the Allies and used to test projectile effectiveness and then eventually scrapped.

WW2 Era Japanese 150 Ton Planned O-I Super-Heavy Tank

O-I super-heavy tank kit from Takom. Being it was a planned tank it was another clean slate as to what I wanted it to become in some ways, especially since it was such a large kit. I added front plate armor, rear crew telephone, front track holder and made a replacement side skirt for the left side still in slightly rusting primer due to tropical operating conditions. A pretty easy build as the vast majority of time was spent weathering. Each rivet was hand shadowed on the kit and the headlight lenses I made from resin.
